5. Where the Wild Things Are - signed book
------------------------------------------
In 1987, I was fortunate to meet Maurice Sendak at an authors
conference in Berkley, California. He kindly autographed two of
his books for me and they have been among my prized possessions
for more than twenty years.
I am now ready to give-up the books in the name of spreading the
word about www.ReadingLessons.com. I'm sure Mr. Sendak would
approve. If you would like these books, see below.
I am going to give-away these books in a random drawing which will
be made on Thanksgiving Day (November 25th).
All you have to do is recommend ReadingLessons.com to three of your
friends or colleagues and you will be entered into the drawing.
Click on the "Tell a Friend" button on ReadingLessons.com:
http://www.readinglessons.com
You get one entry for every three people you recommend. Recommend
30 and get 10 entries, no limit-but they must be genuine email
addresses (the three people recommended in the winning entries
will also win a small prize). All three must be genuine email
addresses, if any are not, a new drawing will be made.
On Thanksgiving Day:
1. The first name picked will win the signed copy of Where the
Wild Things Are.
2. The second picked will win the signed copy of In The Night
Kitchen.
3. Third name picked will win the first book in the Tommy Tales
series that I wrote -- The School Lunch Room and I will sign it
personally for the winner.
I heard Maurice Sendak being interviewed on NPR at the time the
movie Where the Wild Things Are came out, and he said that he not
done any book signings for many years, so these two of his books
are are quite rare.
Good Luck,
6. Even More Great Websites
---------------------------
People ask me where I find websites with great free stuff.
Here's the secret, I always start by looking through the sites on
Sites for Teachers. You'll always find something interesting on
this site:
http://www.sitesforteachers.com/cgi-bin/in.cgi?id=terry
That's all for now, I'll be in touch soon.
Keep on Singing!
Francis
