Never To Be Late

I'll awake at dawn
On an autumn day,
For I will not doze
Precious time away;
With my lesson learned,
This shall be my rule:
Never to be late
When I go to school!

Birds awake each morn,
And they start to sing;
None are tardy then,
When the woods do ring;
So when daylight peeps,
I'll recall my rule:
